September 2010 - Infomate appoints Group Business Advisor
Premier ICT systems integrator, the Infomate Group, has appointed a veteran of the local industry, John Ambrogio, to act as the Business Advisor to the Boards of Directors within the Group.
With 25 years of executive management experience in two prominent local ICT companies, Mr Ambrogio is well known in the industry for his leadership skills in heading multi-disciplinary teams of ICT professionals to deliver business critical ICT solutions in various economic sectors-and government entities, both locally and in the EU.
Welcoming Mr Ambrogio to his new role, Joseph Sultana, Managing Director of the Infomate Group, said: "As a result of the phenomenal growth that the Infomate Group of Companies has experienced in the last few years, we think that we are well positioned to hit our ambitious targets and ready to venture into new product areas and new businesses experiences.

From its humble beginnings as a PC retailer 14 years ago, the Infomate Group, made up of three distinct but associated companies, Ascent Software Ltd, Enterprise Solutions Ltd and Kinetix IT Services Ltd, has today become an accomplished ICT systems integrator offering a wide portfolio of homogenous offerings to an imposing customer base.
Ascent Software provides bespoke software solutions, with 80% of its turnover being generated overseas. The company was set up eight years ago and today has clients in Malta, the European Union and the Caribbean.
Enterprise Solutions, set up four years ago, is the local representative of SAP and its product offering includes Enterprise Rersource Planning (ERP), business intelligence (BI), decision support and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
Kinetix IT Services, a systems integrator, merged with Infomate Limited in 2009 provides premier communication and IT network solutions as well as managed services to a very broad range of local clients.
The Infomate Group today employs 45 full time ICT specialists and boasts an impressive list of satisfied clients in a variety of market sectors in Malta, the UK, Libya and the Caribbean. These include MITA, Medserv, GO plc, Vodafone Malta, MaltaPost plc, Guernsey Post and Ricardo plc, to name but a few.
With a solution stack that includes business critical datacentre infrastructure, VOIP solutions, ERP/CRM systems, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing tools, Document Management and vertical industry software development, the teams within the Infomate Group work closely with World class strategic partners, such as IBM, SAP, HP, Sungard and Microsoft, to offer sterling solutions.
